Dump & Run Chili
Let's be real - we've never made the same chili twice and we probably never will. We're always messin' about and experimenting based on whatever we have/don't have on hand.
This recipe TURNED OUT DELISH and it's loosely based off the most bizarre chili recipe we've ever seen from Pressure Luck. BUT apparently that weird ass chili has won several Chili Cook-Offs and we were in a weird ass mood (#socialisolation) so we incorporated some ingredients from there and BAM - it's a winner.
While we've never participated in a Chili Cook-Off, we can imagine they take things PRETTY SERIOUSLY. So we did the complete opposite and threw a bunch of ingredients into the slow cooker and walked away for 6 hours. That's just how we roll.
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1.5 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c beer (stick with me LOL)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp cumin
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 peppers, diced - whatever color you’re into
1. Place beef in the bottom of slow cooker.
2. Add liquid ingredients - tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beer then everything else!
4. Set slow cooker to 6 hours on low and run away.
Literally that’s it. If I’m around I like to check on it every couple hours and give it a stir to break up the meat, but it is not even necessary! I JUST GET IT EXCITED!
