Train Like Lindsey Vonn
Lindsey Vonn is hands down one of our favorite athletes. She’s a total badass both personally and professionally, recently throwing out traditional gender stereotypes and proposing to her partner Tweeting “Women aren’t the only ones who should get engagement rings!”.
While I can’t see my own partner getting down on one knee (for reasons unrelated to equality and more related to my knack for decorating the house with dirty socks LOL) we definitely take a knee for Lindsey’s outstanding athleticism.
We took a look into Lindsey’s training schedule to get the scoop on how she stays on top of the alpine skiing world. Turns out skiing down the hill all day isn’t a guaranteed way to get to the Olympics.
According to an article by Kristine Thomason of Women’s Health, Lindsey spends at least 3 hours a day in the gym!!!??!!? Lindsey’s trainer dedicates 3 days a week to strength training and 2 days a week to agility training. Lindsey spends plenty of time on stationary bikes and TRX body weight training, focusing on strengthening her core and legs to feel confident and badass on the slopes!
