Our Rubber Hex Dumbbells are made with 100% Virgin Rubber on the exterior, offering some floor protection and noise reduction qualities. Virgin rubber, also known as natural rubber, isn’t made from processed end-of-life tire material and scrap rubber.

Since it doesn’t undergo the chemical treatment that gives second-hand rubber an unpleasant smell, virgin rubber guarantees a workout experience that won't irritate you or give you a headache. Additionally, natural rubber looks more polished, provides superior shock absorption, and is significantly easier to maintain.

HANDLE SPECIFICATIONS

The heads are permanently affixed to a thick 35 mm solid steel shaft improving the strength of the head / handle joint. The knurled chrome handles are ergonomically contoured to fit comfortably in the users palm. Smaller handles graduate up from 25 mm grip to 35 mm grip for increments 3 lbs through 100 lbs. The rubber coating increases durability, protects flooring and equipment, enhances appearance, diminishes noise and is easy to clean.

Virgin Rubber vs Recycled Rubber

Distinct Odor	There is a distinct odor difference between virgin rubber and recycled rubber. Plates that use even lowest percentages of recycled rubber have a very unique unpleasant “used tire smell” vs plates manufactured with virgin rubber.
Appearance	306 Dumbbells are manufactured with 100% virgin rubber compounds giving them a bold and solid colour appearance.
Performance	Premium 100% virgin rubber compounds provides superior shock absorption, “rebound,” and durability over the lifetime use of the dumbbell.
Dimensional Stability	Dumbbells manufactured even with the smallest percentage of recycled rubber may vary slightly in dimensions, resulting in less than perfect uniformity over time.

I got 3 pairs; 10, 27.5 and 50 to complete my set. Virgin rubber so they don't smell as much as the other brands. The other brands that I have bought in the past had to spend some time outside in the sun to clear out the smell. I started using these right away. Very good service and affordable price.
