Laid these down in the garage for our home gym. We do not have a heavy weight lifting platform or anything but just used them for the entire floor. Easy enough to move around and feel good under your feet! So far they have not moved a whole bunch and I have not needed to tape them in place. It does look like there is a spot that is grooved out underneath the mat to place a locking metal clip or something, but I have not seen those yet. So far I am quite happy with them!
